Position Title: Accounts Payable and Accounting Supervisor

External Description:

The Team Lead VMS is responsible for the timeliness, correctness and completeness of the timesheet, payroll, invoicing process and collections of all VMS clients for Randstad Canada.   

Maintain a solid understanding of the business, company structure, corporate values, policies and procedures.  The Team Lead VMS reports to Manager, Sourceright &  VMS.

This position is fully remote. 

Objectives

  • Ensure timeliness, correctness and completeness of the payroll and billing process
  • Achieve AR targets with <5% past due 
  • 100% compliance with all applicable laws, regulations and client specific requirements
  • Turning administrative services  into a competitive advantage 

 

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure that the team is meeting all the deadlines while also providing completeness of payroll, billing, cash applications and accounts receivable
  • Daily coaching of all VMS employees, including mentoring and training
  • Make sure that all inquiries from clients, AR, accounting and field staff, are responded to and resolved effectively and efficiently.
  • Work with I.T. on system upgrades, as well as continuous improvements and efficiencies between VMS tool and internal system.
  • Determine potential weaknesses in internal controls and make changes to correct them
  • Reconcile and resolve client invoicing issues, timely collection of past due amounts and contribute to reduce DSO
  • Initiate and implement process improvements in the contract2cash policy (instructions, templates, procedures, systems etc).
  • Conduct any general duties, specific projects and responsibilities, or running reports as assigned or required by the department leadership

 

Education, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required, in Accounting or Finance related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience within billing, AR or accounting
  • Highly proficient in use of Microsoft Excel and JDE Oracle
  • Fluently bilingual (French) an asset
  • Knowledge of Randstad operations and systems and Vendor Management systems is an asset
